Mama Strange is my great grandmothers lineage. She was a seamstress and a beautician with a focus on mending peoples clothes and their spirits, cleaning them up with a shave or haircut and a beauty treatment … making sure your cup was full of a fine southern beverage and your belly and your heart were well nourished.
She made sure everyone knew they were loved.
Back in the days of the Great Depression, in a little Louisiana town, my great-grandmother believed that one of the finest ways to serve others was by creating beauty—both in how people looked and how they felt. With gentle hands, a caring heart, and a gift for helping folks see their own worth, she brought a little more light, confidence, and grace into the lives of everyone she touched.
“You can choose to glow,” she told everyone.
She was a faithful daughter, a strong and spirited mother, a devoted grandmother, and a humble beauty queen.
She met people where they were and built them up with humor, affection, attention and compassion.
From her roots grew two generations of beauticians, bodyworkers, healthcare practitioners, nurses, and holistic healers. She raised her family with a deep appreciation for one another, a respect for the gifts of Mother Nature, and a belief that true wellness comes from living in the harmony of love. She taught us that when people gather with grateful hearts, God has a way of showing up and showing off, reminding His children to care for one another and cherish the life we've been given.
When in doubt, you go to work … serving each other is serving your community and your creator.

Check-In
Please arrive a few minutes before your appointment time.
Make yourself at home in The Singularity Thought House which is just up the stairs at the entrance to the village. There are restrooms to visit prior to your service. They have beverages and food offerings to enjoy anytime in an ambient environment to tuck into a like living room for the neighborhood.
You are also welcome in the Casa De Luz Café for complementary tea and vortex water on tap. Please do feel free to browse around any of the shops or pathways to decompress and soak in the moment.

Parking
Parking is available in the paid parking lot directly across the street from Casa de Luz. Please be mindful of posted parking signs and meter regulations, as parking rates and enforcement times may vary by day and time.
Arriving at The Serenity Space
Enter through the archway into the Casa de Luz Wellness Village and follow the trellis-covered pathway. Along the way, you'll see directional signs guiding you forward.
At the playground, turn right and continue until you see the Day Spa sign and our beloved giant blue bird. You've arrived.
Upon Arrival
If the "In Session" sign is displayed on the door, please refrain from knocking to preserve the tranquility of ongoing treatments.
You're invited to make yourself comfortable before your appointment. Complimentary tea and filtered water are available in the Casa de Luz Café, located diagonally across the main courtyard from The Serenity Space.
A Note About Timing
Your visit is important to us. On the rare occasion that we are running behind schedule, please know that your full service time will always be honored.

We encourage you to arrive a little early or linger afterward to explore the unique offerings of Casa de Luz. Browse the shops, enjoy a nourishing meal, relax in the gardens and gathering spaces, or experience ceremonial offerings such as cacao and kava. Allow yourself time to integrate, reflect, and fully enjoy your wellness journey.
Restrooms
Restrooms are available both inside The Serenity Space and in the pavilion area of the main courtyard.
